Riverview Village, the new National Headquarters for COhatch, will provide unprecedented economic incentives for hundreds of its members
DUBLIN, OHIO, September 13, 2023 – In the heart of Historic Dublin, COhatch is creating a first-of-its-kind coworking, flexible work, and entrepreneurial village that will be the hub for its expanding national operations and its growing Columbus-based member network.
Riverview Village will be the premier place to work with unique food and beverage options, access to the new Riverside Crossing Park, and views of the Scioto River, the Dublin Link pedestrian bridge, and Bridge Park. By creating an even larger community of entrepreneurs, freelancers, small business owners, hybrid work companies, non-profits, makers, artists, and restaurateurs, Riverview Village will become a vibrant destination for the community to experience and explore, and for businesses to flourish for many years to come.
COhatch is currently planning to add more private offices, company suites, coworking spaces, meeting spaces, individual company retreat homes, bars and restaurants, indoor and outdoor event spaces, and more for all year-round use and entertainment.
“Our entire team is fascinated by this opportunity,” Matt Davis, COhatch CEO explains, “We can reinvent the modern-day village on the Scioto river bank in the heart of Dublin. Mixing innovation and history. Creating a unique experience in the woods and on the river. Creating a destination for any business owner who wants to grow and thrive. Orchestrating public events to showcase makers, small businesses, start-ups, and nonprofits. This is a legacy project and one that I am proud to make as our permanent COhatch home.”
“As a global city of choice, Dublin strives to provide the best quality of life and environment in which our residents and businesses can thrive,” says Dublin City Manager Megan O’Callaghan.
“Our partnership with COhatch is an exciting opportunity to bring innovators, creators, new businesses and public experiences to the City, in a way that celebrates Dublin’s vibrant history and exciting future, and supports our vision of being the most connected city by bringing people together in meaningful and collaborative ways.”
COhatch and the City of Dublin worked closely together to integrate Dublin’s strategic innovation into the Riverview Village concept. As part of the collaboration, COhatch and Dublin created opportunities for economic incentives to be passed onto its members and are continuing to work together to establish partnerships with other local stakeholders that specialize in business innovation. One exciting initiative is the connection to Dublin’s Dublink 100-gig fiber network, available throughout Riverview Village.
“Dublin is very strategic and forward thinking. Together, we have created an umbrella economic incentive for thousands of businesses to locate in Riverview Village. These incentives will be available for even the smallest companies, so they can participate to further stimulate incubation and innovation,” Matt Davis, COhatch CEO explains.
Restoring old buildings and creating new centers of gravity for towns to thrive remains at the core of COhatch. “Restoring the historic houses and maintaining the charm of Historic Dublin is critical in our design. There is something special about being able to create an integrated experience of many structures, some new and some old, that will inspire, energize, and connect the public for many years to come,” says Joel Limes, Co-Chief Brand Officer, COhatch.
“The pathways and gardens between the houses lend to a quaint feeling of being a part of the neighborhoods and communities of old. When the evening falls, these historically renovated pathways and streets will be lit with street lights creating a serene ambiance for events, family get-togethers, fundraisers and more. Newly constructed pedestrian walkways and streets connect the village to North High Street expanding the entire footprint of Historic Dublin, improving walkability for all to enjoy while they listen to live street music, grab a cup of coffee and support their favorite local artist or maker,” says Elisabeth Limes, Co-Chief Brand Officer, COhatch.
Throughout its history, Historic Dublin has nurtured a spirit of entrepreneurship and creativity. COhatch is excited to honor the entrepreneurial spirit by providing over $200,000 per year in scholarships to non-profits, startups, makers, artists and other small businesses residing in Riverview Village, helping these entrepreneurs get started, grow, and thrive.
The design and planning for Riverview Village is in progress and construction will start in late 2024.
