COhatch continues to elevate local nonprofits and startups through impact program
PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA, June 13, 2023 – COhatch, a rapidly growing, community-focused company which develops innovative shared work and social spaces, has opened its first two Pittsburgh locations at The Waterfront and in Shadyside, with a third location coming this summer to SouthSide Works.
“We chose these locations because they all have a community hub feel. In these neighborhoods, people can easily walk or drive to our locations, meet friends and family for lunch or coffee and support local businesses,” said Matt Davis, CEO and co-founder of COhatch. “Our goal is to be able to provide new ways to work, meet and live to as many people in Pittsburgh as possible. We believe being at The Waterfront, Shadyside and SouthSide Works will allow us to make that impact.”
COhatch’s core services include private offices, coworking, meeting rooms and event space at all locations. They also offer added perks across Pittsburgh, like outdoor patio space, a movie theater and game rooms. COhatch members have 24/7 access to all locations in and out of Pittsburgh.
“We’re a lot more than a work space. We want to give our members a place to live their lives, too,” said Lannette McWilliams, Pittsburgh market leader at COhatch. “We have tons of fun spaces for birthdays, bridal or baby showers, rehearsal dinners and more. We even have a program where members can celebrate their biggest life milestones for free. Our members really are like family to us.”
The company’s impact on members’ lives doesn’t stop there. COhatch lives up to their mission of strengthening communities, improving lives and equipping people to be greater through their Impact Scholarships. These scholarships provide local nonprofits, startups and civic leaders with space at a free or highly discounted rate, allowing them to pitch investors, meet with their boards, collaborate with their teams and more. COhatch Impact Scholars at the Waterfront location have already seen the impact of being able to utilize COhatch.
“COhatch is a very welcoming and warm space, but also provides us with privacy when needed,” said Lynette Vybrial, senior development officer of Sisters Place. “The staff has been very accommodating, and we appreciate the community aspect. We are grateful for our scholarship and have enjoyed being part of the COhatch community.”
Over time, COhatch plans to have as many as 15 locations in the greater Pittsburgh area, giving members access to even more amenities, and giving more Pittsburgh nonprofits, startups and civic leaders a space to come together..
