COhatch Waterfront set to open early 2023
COLUMBUS, OHIO, October 26, 2022 – COhatch, a rapidly growing, community-driven company with a new approach to shared work and social space, will be opening COhatch Waterfront, one of several Pittsburgh locations, in winter 2023.
COhatch Waterfront, and their other local projects in Shadyside and at Southside Works, continue the company’s mission of restoring and renovating unoccupied spaces to breathe new life into neighborhoods.
“Opening a Pittsburgh location at The Waterfront makes sense for us because we see the value in being able to work, meet, and live all in one area,” said Matt Davis, co-founder and CEO of COhatch. “We’re excited to add something unique to The Waterfront and make a local impact by creating and developing innovative ideas. It’s already an active area, so we’re confident that the addition of a COhatch will only enhance the community. ”
Previously a Gap store at The Waterfront, COhatch’s latest Pittsburgh site will give community members a space that is close to home to work, collaborate, and celebrate across all areas of life.
“I went to Columbus un-announced in the summer of 2021 and visited several COhatch locations. They all were full and thriving, a fun and bustling hive of people and activity,” said Marty Sweeney, Senior VP of Acquisitions and Asset Management with M&J Wilkow. “At the exact same moment, our traditional office buildings across the country were fully leased but sitting empty. Bringing such a dynamic workplace solution to our town center is a perfect match given our expansive food & beverage offerings, shopping and entertainment options, and direct access to the Great Allegheny Trail.”
COhatch Waterfront will feature spacious private offices, coworking space, meeting rooms, event venues, a movie theater, and more. Members will receive 24/7 access to all COhatch locations, free workshops and member events, discounted meeting rooms, access to the company’s digital platform COhatch+, and more.
““I’m ecstatic that COhatch will soon have a presence in the Homestead area,” said Lannette McWilliams, Market Leader for COhatch Pittsburgh. “At COhatch, we continue to put community first and find new ways for our members to have the work-life balance in every aspect of their life. I truly believe that our Waterfront location will be an amazing addition to this area.”
Pittsburgh members will be able to use workspace at the company’s Columbus, Cincinnati, Cleveland and Springfield, Ohio; Indianapolis, Indiana; and Tampa Bay, Florida locations – in addition to all future locations, including those in Orlando, Florida; Charlotte and Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina; Atlanta, Georgia; and Nashville, Tennessee. COhatch plans to open a total of 500 locations in 50 cities across the U.S. by 2032.
